Meet The Team
Pastors
Mark Mackay
Senior Pastor
Formerly a trolley-pusher, storeman and Chartered Accountant, Mark became pastor of our Church in 2006. Married to Catherine and with 4 kids, life is busy in the Mackay household. Mark enjoys most sports (except Olympic walking) and getting lost in good music (U2, Coldplay but NO COUNTRY MUSIC). Most of all, he is passionate about the local Church as the means God uses to change lives and the World.
Ruth Peckman
Associate Pastor
Ruth and Greg love being part of the local church. We believe we should keep growing to become more like Christ every year. The people in our church help us to do that. Life Groups have been important for us and now Ruth is able to help grow groups at FLBC. What a privilege! We also enjoy learning with people from other cultures. We strive to keep rhythms of work and rest in our life. So we delight in the beach, the bush and good books.
As empty nesters we can make time to do that.
Seb Henley
Associate Pastor
Transitioning from a career in teaching to pastoring, Seb has found a way to continue his passion for discipling young people. Seb begun pastoring at FLBC in 2021 and has studied a Master of Divinity at Malyon College. He has diverse interests including running, gardening, singing and playing guitar, listening to podcasts, and reading. Seb enjoys good coffee and engaging in deep conversations. Currently overseeing FLBC’s Worship and Youth Ministries, Seb is married to Trudy and has three wonderful kids: Eleanor, Austin, and Jude. He is passionate about young people knowing God, understanding their worth in God, and embracing their identity as God's creations.
Elders
Peter Kidd

After 17 years of teaching high school students, Peter landed his dream job training and supporting his colleagues in teaching from a Biblical Worldview at Genesis Christian College. He’s married to Claire and has 3 children. He enjoys running and soccer, reading novels and theological books, but most of all playing strategy boardgames. Along with some other families, Peter’s family is part of the Hope Tree community of FLBC. He loves serving God by encouraging Christians to grow in faith and everyone to learn more about Jesus.
Jonny Lilley
Elder
Jonny is married to Sam and they have two boys, Jed and Josiah. Jonny is passionate about helping others in need. He works as a foreman in the building and construction industry. He loves spending time breeding and dealing in aquarium fish with one of his closest mates. He has an abundance of knowledge in not only all things fish, but is a man of many talents and can lend a hand for various jobs where there’s coffee involved.
John Smyth
Elder
John is passionate about seeing people grow in their relationship with God and loves to spend time with our future generations in the children’s ministry. Mentoring men is another area close to my heart.
As I am still working full time, spending lots of family time is a priority. I love reading books especially about leadership, both in the home and the marketplace, and others life stories.
John is happily married to Jenny and loves being a grandad to our two wonderful grandkids.
Long Bradley
Elder
Long Bradley is passionate about missions, whether that's overseas or right in his own backyard. He has served in many ministry areas in churches and missions, as well as being involved in various community organisations. One of his strengths is networking. Long has always loved children and young people and have served in this area for over 40 years. He has been a school chaplain for the past 24 years working in primary, high and special schools. Before becoming a school chaplain Long was a primary teacher and had also undertaken a Bachelor of Ministries. He serves FLBC through being the Blue Card Coordinator, part of the pack up team, part of the worship team, and a youth leader.
